If you choose to let your apartment, please be aware that in line with the, you need to:
· Supply the name and address of the lessee or occupier to the Body Corporate
· Ensure the lessee or occupier has a copy of the Body Corporate Rules
· Ensure the lessee or occupiers details have been provided to the Body Corporate Managers
· Ensure the proposed lessee or occupiers executes a deed of covenant with the Body Corporate to comply with the Body Corporate Rules.
· Have regard to the lessee or occupier’s reputation and past conduct and as such that they are a suitable tenant for the building
It is highly recommended that it is a condition of any residential tenancy that the tenant and/or property owner holds contents and personal liability insurance in the event of accidental damage by a tenant (i.e. flooding a lower apartment).
The Body Corporate Management – Geoff Holgate - must be notified when an owner or tenant is moving in or out of an apartment. Please see the ‘Body Corporate’ section of this document for their contact details.
It is recommended that regular inspections of tenanted apartments take place.
